Abstract

Property Management system (PMS) sudah menjadi komponen yang tak terpisahkan dari operasional suatu hotel. Kemampuan untuk mengoperasikan PMS kini menjadi kompetensi dasar bagi lulusan jurusan Perhotelan untuk dapat bersaing di dunia industri. Namun, seberapa layakkah aplikasi simulasi PMS yang selama ini digunakan untuk pembelajaran praktikum apabila dilihat dari sudut pandang mahasiswa? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Usability SIHOTEL, aplikasi simulasi PMS yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran praktikum registrasi hotel, melalui empat dimensi yang diadaptasi dari kerangka Nielsen: learnability, efficiency, errors, dan satisfaction. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif kepada 50 responden mahasiswa, dilengkapi juga dengan pemetaan pain point pada delapan tahapan alur kerja registrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian mahasiswa terhadap aplikasi mendapatkan nilai 2,931 dari 5,00 atau berada 0,48 di bawah ambang kategori ‘Baik’. Dimensi errors mendapatkan nilai terendah (2,475) dengan 50% responden menilai umpan balik kesalahan sistem tidak memadai. Analisis pain point menunjukkan edit data reservasi (54%), input data tamu (46%), dan navigasi menu (42%) sebagai tiga tahapan paling bermasalah. Temuan ini memberikan dasar empiris yang kuat bahwa SIHOTEL belum memadai sebagai media praktikum, dan institusi perlu mempertimbangkan migrasi ke PMS berstandar industri
