Kekerasan Seksual di Lingkungan Universitas: Analisis Pelanggaran dan Perlindungan Hak Asasi Manusia

Abstract

Sexual violence on university campuses is a growing phenomenon and a serious concern because it constitutes a violation of human rights and because protection for victims remains inadequate. This study aims to analyze forms of sexual violence as human rights violations and to examine the effectiveness of legal protections in Indonesia. This study employs a theoretical framework grounded in human rights and the concept of power relations, referencing relevant legislation and literature reviews. The research method used is normative legal research with a descriptive-analytical approach. The research data consists of secondary data obtained through literature review, including books, scientific journals, and legislation, which were then analyzed qualitatively. The results indicate that sexual violence in university settings occurs in both physical and non-physical forms, including electronic-based violence, which is generally influenced by power imbalances. Although the Law on Sexual Violence Crimes has provided a more comprehensive legal basis, its implementation still faces various obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen prevention systems, ensure strict law enforcement, and provide comprehensive protection and recovery for victims in order to create a safe and just academic environment.
