Devote : Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Global applies a blind peer review process. Any manuscript submission will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers, follow by editorial comments. Editor-in-Chief or editor in accordance with the field of research (the list is on the Editorial Board page) provides acceptance/rejection decisions. A summary of the editorial process given in the flowchart below.
A. Manuscript Pre-check
After submission, this check is initially to assess: Suitability of the manuscript to the journal scope and templates; Qualification and background of authors; and Reject obviously poor manuscripts.
B. Blind peer-review
The journal implements a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other to ensure objectivity and fairness in the evaluation of manuscripts. To support the academic editors, the DEVOTE editorial staff manages all communications with authors, reviewers, and external editors, while editors monitor the progress of manuscripts throughout the review process without compromising confidentiality. Reviewers are typically given two weeks to complete their evaluations, while revised manuscripts are expected to be reviewed within one week, with extensions granted upon request in both cases.
C. Editor Decision
Acceptance decisions on manuscripts, after peer review, are made by an editor (the list is on the Editorial Board page). The editor can select from: accept, reject, ask author for revision, ask for an additional reviewer. If there is any suspicion that a paper may contain plagiarism, the editorial office will check using the Turnitin software.
