<p><em>This study aims to produce a Biology Module assisted by QR-Code to facilitate the learning styles of high school students on quality Biological Technology Innovation. This type of research is research and development that uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), limited to the third stage (development). The instruments used in this research are validation sheets and response questionnaires. The assessment was conducted by two expert lecturers by filling out the validation sheet and two high school biology teachers. The overall validation results of the QR-Code assisted Biology Module achieved an average score of 3.89, classified as very valid. The QR-Code assisted Biology Module was tested on seventh semester students of the Biology Education Program at Riau University in a limited trial stage 1, achieving an average score of 3.78 which falls into the very good category. Subsequently, the QR-Code assisted Biology Module was tested on tenth grade students at Cendana High School in Pekanbaru during the limited trial stage 2, achieving an average score of 3.83, also in the very good category. Based on the average scores from the validation and limited trial tests of stages 1 and 2, it can be concluded that the QR-Code assisted Biology module meets the criteria of being very valid and very good as a teaching module, with a score of 3.83.</em></p>Rahmatika FebriantyMariani NatalinaDarmadi Darmadi

<p><em>This study aimed to analyze the structure of understory vegetation communities in oil palm plantations located in Kampar Kiri Tengah District, Kampar Regency. The research was conducted in March 2025 using a survey method. Sampling was carried out through purposive random sampling by considering oil palm age. Parameters observed included species composition, density, frequency, importance value index, diversity index, similarity index, and dominance index. Physical chemical environmental factors measured comprised soil temperature, air temperature, soil pH, and light intensity. Results showed that understory vegetation consisted of 31 species from 18 families, with a total of 3580 individuals recorded. The highest density was found in Cyperus kyllingia from the Cyperaceae family with a relative density of 37.23 percent, while the lowest density occurred in Mikania micrantha from the Asteraceae family at 0.08 percent. The highest relative frequency was observed in Cyperus rotundus at 4.84 percent, whereas the lowest was recorded for Davallia tasmanii at 2.13 percent. The highest importance value index was recorded for Cyperus kyllingia at 42.97 percent, while the lowest was found in Lindsaea cultrata at 0.24 percent. The diversity index was categorized as moderate. The evenness index ranged from 0.61 to 0.69, indicating moderate uniformity. The dominance index showed no species dominated excessively. Research findings were integrated into poster-based learning media and validated by experts as very valid. <p><em>Indonesia is rich in biodiversity, including approximately 35,000 plant species, of which around 7,000 are used as traditional and medicinal remedies. The local wisdom of the community in Sungai Mandau District, Siak Regency, still plays a significant role in utilizing medicinal plants for traditional treatment, especially in areas with limited access to modern healthcare. This research aims to document the ethnobotanical knowledge of medicinal plants in the region and to develop an Electronic Pocket Book as a biology learning resource aligned with the Independent Curriculum. The study used a qualitative survey approach, including interviews and direct observations in five villages. The findings revealed 44 medicinal plant species from 30 families, with Zingiberaceae as the most dominant. The research also included the design and validation of a digital learning media integrating local plant knowledge and biodiversity education. <p><em>The formation of the character of responsibility in elementary school students is very important in the midst of various behaviors of low awareness of responsibility that arise in the school-age generation. This study aims to describe: 1) What are the leading programs at Sdit Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta in building the character of responsibility ; 2) how the strategy of implementing contextual learning models can build the character of responsibility of students at SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta; 3) how the strategy of applying the experiential learning model can build the character of Student Responsibility at Sdit Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta. This study uses descriptive qualitative approach with Miles and Huberman model data analysis techniques that include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Validity of the data is maintained through triangulation method by comparing the results of observations, interviews, and documentation. Then analyzed descriptively based on data obtained related problems studied in the field. The results showed that there are several excellent programs in SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta, such as zero waste, gardening, breeding, and cooking classes. Strategies for implementing contextual learning models through a variety of real activities (learning by doing) and habituation such as caring for plants and farm animals. <p><em>The purpose of this study is to determine how the implementation of school culture in instilling the character of students of SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to describe the problems and focus of the study with data collection carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the implementation of school culture in instilling the character of students of SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang regarding the implementation of school culture and character instillation in the implementation of school culture of SMP Negeri 1 Kota Serang is carried out well and consistently every day which becomes a good habit of the school. <p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of concentration and learning independence on the chemistry learning outcomes of class X students of SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. This type of research is ex-post facto research with a quantitative approach. The population of the study was 157 students with 113 samples. The instruments used for data collection were questionnaires on learning concentration and learning independence. Data analysis in this study was a prerequisite analysis test and a hypothesis test. The results of the data analysis showed that in the F test the significance value was 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is an effect of learning concentration and learning independence on the learning outcomes of students in the chemistry subject of class X SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. In addition, in the t test of learning concentration, a significance value of 0.008 <0.05 was obtained, which means that there is an effect of learning concentration on the chemistry learning outcomes of class X students of SMAN 15 Pekanbaru and in the t test of learning independence, a significance value of 0.020 <0.05 was obtained, which means that there is an effect of learning independence on the chemistry learning outcomes of class X students of SMAN 15 Pekanbaru</em></p>Rahma JusminiJimmi CopriadySri Wilda Albeta

<p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Pomodoro technique in PPKn (Civics Education) learning on improving students’ learning concentration. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, namely the One Group Pre-test Post-test Design, conducted at SMAN 8 Kota Serang. The population in this study consists of students in grade XI of SMAN 8 Kota Serang. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with only class XI IPA 1 selected as the experimental class, without the use of a control class. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used statistical processing, including normality testing and hypothesis testing. The hypothesis testing technique used was the Wilcoxon sign test. The results of the hypothesis test using the Wilcoxon sign test showed an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. This means that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results of students’ learning concentration. <p><em>This study aims to determine the diversity of ground insects in oil palm plantations in Kampar Kiri Tengah District, Kampar Regency. This research was carried out for 3 months from February to May 2025. This study consists of two stages, namely data collection of ground insects and booklet design. The method of collecting ground insect data was "purposive sampling", sampling using a pitfall trap (trap). The samples obtained were identified in Biology, FKIP UNRI and analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener species diversity index. The results of the study of ground insects obtained 487 individuals belonging to 12 species and 4 orders consisting of Harpalus rufipes, Staphylinus caesarius, Entomobrya unostrigata, Isotomurus palustris, Anoplolepis gracilipes, Dolichoderus thoracicus, Formica rufa, Labidus raedator, Lasius niger, Monomorium minimum, Solenopsis fugax, Gryllus bimaculatus. The diversity index of ground insects at station I was 2.28 (moderate), station II was 2.22 (moderate) and station III was 2.31 (moderate). The physical-chemical factors in oil palm plantations have a soil pH of 6.33-7, temperature of 32.7-34.6 ° C, air humidity of 59-63% and light </em><em>intensity of 157-224 lux. <p><em>The purpose of this research is to develop a research-based booklet on Lichen Diversity in Pekanbaru City. The development method used in this research is the ADDIE development method which is limited to three stages, namely Analyze, Design, and Development. This research was conducted by developing research results into booklets about the types of lichen in Pekanbaru City. The booklet validation consisted of two lecturers from the Department of Biology Education, Riau University, who were material experts and learning media experts. The results of this study obtained an average validity score of 3.48 so this booklet is included in the very valid category and is declared feasible to be used as a teaching material supplement and used in the learning process in Class X SMA Biodiversity Material. </em><em>The developed booklet serves as a practical supplementary teaching material because it presents information in a concise, structured, and visually engaging format. Clear explanations, photographs, and systematic organization allow students to independently explore learning materials beyond textbooks. Furthermore, booklet-based learning media are suitable for supporting flexible learning activities, both inside and outside the classroom, in accordance with the principles of student cantered learning promoted in the Merdeka Curriculum. The validation results demonstrate that the booklet meets pedagogical and content standards, ensuring accuracy, readability, and relevance to curriculum demands. <p><em>This study aims to examine the effect of the experimental method on students’ learning outcomes in science, particularly on the topic of changes in the states of matter, among third-grade students at SD Negeri 17 Kota Pekanbaru. The research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The participants were 30 students from class III D, while the object of the study was the implementation of the experimental method in science learning. Data were collected through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The research instruments were validated through validity and reliability tests, item difficulty level analysis, and discrimination index testing. Data analysis was conducted using a normality test and hypothesis testing with a t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the experimental method. The mean pretest score of 50.66% increased to 75.00% in the post-test, indicating an improvement in students’ understanding of the concept of changes in the states of matter. The results of the paired sample t-test revealed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is lower than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between pretest and post-test scores. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the experimental method has a positive and significant effect on science learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 17 Kota Pekanbaru. <p>Abstract</p> <p>Orange peel waste is an organic waste containing essential nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, making it a potential raw material for Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF). This study aims to determine the effect of orange peel waste LOF concentrations on the growth of water spinach (Ipomoea reptans Poir) and to develop a learning media in the form of a poster for Grade XII high school biology on the topic of growth and development. The research was conducted from January to April 2025 in Tambang District and Binawidya Campus, Panam, using an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments (200 ml, 400 ml, 600 ml, 800 ml, and control), each replicated three times. Observed parameters included the number of leaves, plant height, root length, fresh weight, and dry weight. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the 600 ml LOF concentration had a significant effect on plant growth, particularly in the number of leaves, plant height, fresh weight, and dry weight, but had no significant effect on root length. <p><em>This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) design for the topic of Biological Technology Innovation in Grade X of Senior High School through the enrichment of functional beverage production in the form of water kefir made from pineapple (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.) with the addition of cinnamon and different types of sugar. The research was conducted from October 2024 to February 2025 at the Biology Education Laboratory, University of Riau. The method used was an experimental approach with a completely randomized design (CRD) in a factorial pattern consisting of two factors: types of sugar (granulated sugar and palm sugar) and cinnamon concentration (0%, 1%, and 3%), with each treatment replicated three times. The observed parameters included organoleptic and hedonic tests. The results showed that the best combination was found in the treatment using palm sugar and 10 grams of cinnamon (G2K1). This water kefir was preferred by the panelists due to its mild sourness and a balanced aroma of fermentation and cinnamon. The findings of this study were subsequently integrated into the LKPD design and validated by subject matter and media experts, indicating its feasibility as an instructional material for biotechnology learning in high school.</em></p>Azizah SafitriZulfarinaImam Mahadi

<table width="605"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="395"> <p>This research was conducted in April-May 2025. This research consists of two stages. The first stage is the identification of fish species which includes observations of morphological characteristics and classification. The second stage is the design of a pocket book by integrating the results of the study of fish species identification in the Kampar Kiri River, Mentulik Village. This first stage of research uses a survey method in data collection and uses a purposive sampling technique by observing environmental conditions. The sampling area is divided into three points. The parameters in this study include physical parameters, namely temperature and chemical parameters, namely water pH. The second stage of research is the design of a pocket book using the ADDIE model, but is only carried out at the analysis, design and development stages. The results showed that there were 5 orders and 8 families of 21 types of fish caught in the Kampar Kiri River, Mentulik Village. The dominant orders are the Cypriniformes order with 11 species, the Siluriformes order with 5 species, the Perciformes order with 3 species, the Beloniformes order with 1 species and the Osteoglossiformes order with 1 species. Permasalahan utama yang diidentifikasi adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru, yang umumnya masih bersifat konvensional. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau melaksanakan kegiatan pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa video animasi berbasis aplikasi Doratoon. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk mendukung pembelajaran mandiri dan visual sesuai semangat Kurikulum Merdeka. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan pendekatan R&D menggunakan model ADDIE dan divalidasi oleh ahli serta diuji coba kepada mahasiswa dan siswa SMA. <p><em>This study aims to produce Problem Based Learning-based E-LKPD using the Flip PDF Professional application on mushroom material for class X SMA. This research is a Research & Development (R&D) study, which adapts the ADDIE model to the product development stage. This research was conducted at Biology Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University for trial I and at SMAN 11 Pekanbaru for trial II in August 2024 to May 2025. The data collection instruments used were validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The validation sheet was assessed by 4 validators consisting of 2 lecturers and 2 high school teachers consisting of four aspects, namely content eligibility, language, presentation, and graphics. Based on data analysis, the average score for validation of aspects of content feasibility, pedagogics, language, and presentation on E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning obtained a score of 3.90 with very valid criteria. While the student response questionnaire trial I obtained a value of 3.54 with very good criteria and the student response questionnaire trial II obtained a value of 3.59 with very good criteria. <p><em>The rapid development of information technology has increased the number of computer and internet users, which encourages science learning in the classroom to educate students about science and technology. In the 21st century, the use of technology in education is important to encourage students to learn independently, collaboratively, creatively, and critically. One innovation in learning is the use of E-LKPD (Electronic Student Worksheet), which is designed to replace printed LKPD which tends to be boring. The material on the excretory system in grade XI is considered difficult and less interesting for students, so it is necessary to develop E-LKPD based on problem based learning to improve student understanding. This study uses the ADDIE model which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, but this study only reaches the development stage. The developed E-LKPD was validated by four validators and tested on students and grade XI students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The validation results showed an average score of 3.70 (very valid category), while the trials of stages I and II each scored 3.63 and 3.61 (very good category). <p><em>This research develops an interactive digital comic based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) for the topic of Food and the Human Digestive System in Grade XI Biology. Using the ADDIE model, the study was limited to the development phase. The comic, illustrated in Ibis Paint X, arranged in Canva, and published via Flip PDF Professionalwas validated by two biology lecturers and two biology teachers. Limited trials were conducted with 10 biology education students and 20 Grade‑XI learners at SMA Cendana Pekanbaru. Validation and user responses were analysed descriptively. The average expert score was 3.95, while the first and second user trials reached 3.89 and 3.88 on a 4‑point Likert scale, all categorised as 'very good'. <p><em>This study aims to determine the practicality level of the Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) in improving students' critical thinking skills on the digestive system material for Grade XI high school students. The problem underlying this research is the low level of students' critical thinking skills and the absence of electronic teaching materials based on critical thinking skills that meet students' needs. This is development research using the ADDIE model but limited to the development stage. Instruments used include expert validation, teacher and student response questionnaires, and critical thinking skill tests in the form of essay questions. Data was obtained from Grade XI students of SMAN 1 Kelayang and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. Validation results showed that the E-LKPD is categorized as valid with an average score of 3.2. A limited trial indicated a very high level of practicality, both from teachers (89.58%) and Grade XII students (86.31%). The practicality test by Grade XI students during learning activities showed a score of 85.28%, classified as very practical. The test results showed an increase in students’ critical thinking skills from 33.97% to 61.90%, with an average N-gain score of 0.42 (moderate category). <p><em>21st-century learning demands a classroom environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. Therefore, teachers need to implement classroom management strategies that are more adaptive and responsive to students' needs. This study aims to describe effective classroom management strategies for improving the quality of learning in MI Muslimat NU Demak, focusing on managing the physical environment, strengthening behavioral regulation through positive discipline, and utilizing learning-supporting technology. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including classroom observations, teacher interviews, and document analysis. The results indicate that flexible classroom management and the implementation of teacher-student interactions oriented toward emotional support can increase student engagement, independence, and behavioral regulation. The use of interactive evaluation media also strengthens learning motivation and creates a participatory classroom climate. These findings confirm that the integration of classroom management strategies and technological innovation can significantly improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk jenis Lumut Kerak (<em>Lichenes</em>) di Hutan Kota Pekanbaru dan validitas buku saku tentang Lumut Kerak (<em>Lichenes</em>) di Hutan Kota Pekanbaru sebagai bahan ajar Biologi SMA. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Januari-Juni 2025 di Hutan Kota Pekanbaru dan Kampus Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau dengan menggunakan metode survei dan pengambilan sampel langsung di lapangan. Jenis penelitian yaitu Research and Development (R&D) model ADDIE yang dibatasi hingga tahap pengembangan. Tahap pengembangan difokuskan pada pembuatan bahan ajar buku saku materi keanekaragaman hayati. Validasi produk dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media menggunakan angket validasi dengan hasil validitas rata-rata 3,75 (kategori sangat valid). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa buku saku jenis-jenis lumut kerak layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran Biologi kelas X SMA.
