The positive growth of this industry is reflected in the increasing assets, premiums, and investment returns from year to year. However, the contribution of this sector to national economic growth remains relatively low. This study aims to analyze the extent to which the growth of Islamic insurance and Islamic insurance investments affect Indonesia’s economic growth. The research method employed is a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis, with quarterly time series data from 2016 to 2023. Secondary data obtained from OJK and BPS were analyzed to measure the contribution of the Islamic financial sector to Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The findings reveal that, simultaneously, Islamic insurance assets and investments have a significant impact on economic growth. Partially, the growth of Islamic insurance assets has a significant positive effect, while Islamic insurance investments show a significant negative effect. The coefficient of determination of 82.3% indicates that the two independent variables are able to explain most of the variation in national economic growth. These findings carry strategic implications, suggesting that although Islamic insurance has great potential as a driver of development, the optimization of its investment allocation toward productive sectors needs to be strengthened to foster inclusive and consistent economic growth.

Ainil Harnita Simanullang, Isnaini Harahap, Tri Inda Fadhila Rahma Copyright (c) 2025 Ainil Harnita Simanullang, Isnaini Harahap, Tri Inda Fadhila Rahma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/4572 Wed, 08 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Financial Strategies to Increase the Profitability of Women-Owned MSMEs: Focus on Liquidity, Solvency, Asset Turnover, and Business Capital from a Behavioral Perspective https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/4359
Currently, MSMEs are mostly managed by women. Guided by the Theory of Planned Behavior, Social Cognitive Theory, and Human Capital Theory, a quantitative explanatory design was employed using PLS-SEM on data from 300 women entrepreneurs in Samosir, Indonesia. Findings indicate that foreign language proficiency does not directly predict sustainability (β = 0.082; p = 0.080) but has a strong indirect effect via digital literacy (β = 0.393; p < 0.001). Language skills act as enablers rather than stand-alone drivers. Foreign language significantly enhances digital literacy (β = 0.837; p < 0.001), which in turn strongly predicts MSME sustainability (β = 0.469; p < 0.001). Learning agility also directly contributes (β = 0.414; p < 0.001) but does not moderate the language-sustainability link (β = −0.011; p = 0.238). The study advances theory by identifying digital literacy as a mediator and learning agility as an independent enabler. Practically, it recommends integrated, culturally grounded training.
