This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of mentoring activities in developing students' religious character at SMP Swasta An Nizam Medan. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach, gathering data through participant observation and in-depth interviews with Islamic Education teachers, mentors, and students. The findings indicate that mentoring planning is conducted systematically and collaboratively, focusing on nurturing faith (aqidah), worship (ibadah), and morals (akhlak) through varied methods and worship control books. The evaluation proves that the program yields a significant positive impact, strongly supported by the synergy of the principal, teachers, parents, and a structured monitoring system. The managerial implication highlights that character building requires an integrated oversight ecosystem rather than mere knowledge transfer. However, the primary limitation lies in its localized qualitative scope, with evaluations identifying constraints such as limited duration and varying student participation. Therefore, future research is recommended to utilize a mixed-methods design across multiple schools to assess the long-term effectiveness of mentoring programs on retaining students' religious behavior in the digital era.
Feri Azlina, Nurmawati Copyright (c) 2026 Feri Azlina, Nurmawati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6813 Tue, 21 Jul 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Civic Engagement Sebagai Penguatan Modal Sosial Dalam Bayang-Bayang Overburdening Community: Studi Kasus Pengelolaan Sampah Oleh KSM Randu Makmur Kab. Banyumas https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6115
Zero waste to landfill waste management is an important approach to reducing dependence on landfills (TPA), but its effectiveness is largely determined by community involvement and the strength of social capital within the community. This study analyzes the role of civic engagement in strengthening social capital, despite being under the shadow of overburdening communities, in the KSM Randu Makmur Community Self-Help Group as a waste manager at the Kedungrandu Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST), Banyumas Regency. This article aims to explore the practice of community engagement and its contribution to the effectiveness of waste management, using Robert Putnam's social capital theory. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, through data collection techniques of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using pattern matching and explanation building techniques. The results show that civic engagement in KSM Randu Makmur strengthens three dimensions of social capital: bonding through solidarity among workers, bridging through collaboration with the community and offtakers, and linking through vertical relationships with the Environmental Agency. This social capital supports operational effectiveness, increases public trust, and strengthens internal coordination. However, its effectiveness remains limited because waste sorting has not been implemented at the household level, so the burden of sorting falls entirely on the KSM Randu Makmur. KSM's civic engagement is not entirely born of ecological awareness, but also serves as a survival strategy amidst economic constraints, employment opportunities, and regulatory policies. The findings confirm that strengthening social capital through civic engagement can support the program's operational sustainability, but its effectiveness is partial and vulnerable because it occurs within the context of limited structural support and an unequal distribution of responsibilities.
Allya Zareva Arnesty, Iwan Nurhadi Copyright (c) 2026 Allya Zareva Arnesty, Iwan Nurhadi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6115 Tue, 21 Jul 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Chatgpt on Vocational Students’ Writing and Plagiarism Awareness https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6900
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT is increasingly integrated into English as a Foreign Language (EFL) writing instruction. However, empirical evidence in vocational high school contexts remains limited, particularly concerning its impact on academic integrity. This quasi-experimental study examined the effects of ChatGPT-assisted writing instruction on students’ writing performance and plagiarism awareness. Sixty-eight tenth-grade students from a vocational high school in Bali were assigned to an experimental group (ChatGPT-assisted process writing with academic integrity guidance) and a control group (conventional instruction). Students completed a descriptive writing test and a plagiarism-awareness questionnaire. Data were analyzed using one-way MANOVA. The results revealed a significant multivariate effect, with the experimental group outperforming the control group in writing (M=73.76 vs 62.76) and plagiarism awareness (M=134.00 vs 88.85). These findings highlight ChatGPT’s potential to enhance both writing proficiency and academic integrity when integrated with explicit instruction on paraphrasing, citation, and ethical AI use.
I Gede Kardiyasa, Made Hery Santosa, I Putu Indra Kusuma Copyright (c) 2026 I Gede Kardiyasa, Made Hery Santosa, I Putu Indra Kusuma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6900 Wed, 05 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Analisis Perhitungan Sudut Kemiringan Siku untuk Validasi Gerakan Pull-Up Berbasis Computer Vision https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/5504
Pull-ups are an effective indicator of physical fitness for training upper body muscle strength. Grounded in a qualitative single-case study design, data were collected through participatory observation across ten sessions in TK A and TK B classrooms, triangulated with semi-structured interviews with two classroom teachers and the curriculum coordinator, an open questionnaire administered to six parents, and institutional documentation analysis. Findings reveal that role modeling at TK Alifa Kids is sustained by an institutional framework comprising a Standard Operating Procedure, a teacher commitment letter, and a daily monitoring system, enabling all four stages of Bandura’s social learning theory, specifically attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation, to be confirmed in both classrooms. Habituation is implemented across three structural layers, namely daily, weekly, and event-based, whose underlying process is understood through Thorndike’s Law of Readiness, Law of Exercise, and Law of Effect, and further illuminated by Ibnu Miskawaih’s concept of riyadhah al-nafs and Al-Ghazali’s principle of meaningful habituation. Reinforcement is applied in four forms, namely verbal, gestural, token, and activity, governed by an institutional principle of proportionality, with a comparative analysis between TK A and TK B demonstrating that selective reinforcement produces deeper intrinsic motivation than high-frequency reinforcement. Through this integration, six dimensions of the ALIFA character framework and two Habit Fundamentals were identified as having formed, with characters confirmed to have generalized beyond the school setting into children’s home environments. The study proposes that the integration of role modeling, habituation, and reinforcement, which function respectively as source of values, consolidation mechanism, and stabilization mechanism, constitutes a theoretically coherent and empirically demonstrated framework for forming deeper and more sustained Islamic character foundations in early childhood.
Nindy Putri Aprilia, Wawan Hermawan, Mohammad Rindu Fajar Islamy Copyright (c) 2026 Nindy Putri Aprilia, Wawan Hermawan, Mohammad Rindu Fajar Islamy https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6217 Thu, 03 Sep 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua dan Pelatih dalam Olahraga Push Bike di Kota Salatiga https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6286

ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the influence of parental and coach support on push bike motivation among young children in Salatiga City. The study sample consisted of 17 respondents, comprising 15 parents and 2 coaches, selected through purposive sampling. Quantitative data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics with descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were obtained through observation and in-depth interviews and analyzed using NVivo with word frequency, mind map, project map, and hierarchy chart techniques. The results of the study indicate that, quantitatively, all variables fall into the high category, with mean values ranging from 3.00 to 3.64, a maximum value of 4, and a distribution of responses dominated by the “Often” (105) and “Very Often” (112) categories. The relatively low standard deviation values (0.579–0.961) indicate a stable data distribution, while the negative skewness suggests a predominance of positive assessments by respondents regarding social support. Qualitatively, the analysis results show that social support is formed through nine main dimensions, namely motivation, emotional support, instrumental support, direct involvement, parental expectations, instructional approach, peer interaction, parental role, and conflict management. The findings also show that the word “child” is the most dominant term, which confirms the focus on children’s experiences and development in sports activities. The findings of this study confirm that motivation for push bike activities in young children does not develop in isolation, but rather through the synergy of various forms of integrated social support. This study presents a comparative analysis of community engagement strategies in India and Indonesia, focusing on health worker models, digital health innovations, and grassroots health movements. India's approach is characterized by government-led initiatives such as the Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) program, which has made significant contributions to maternal and child health. In contrast, Indonesia relies on a decentralized health care system driven by community health centers (Puskesmas), community health posts (Posyandu), and faith-based organizations. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study combines bibliometric analysis, policy reviews, and case studies to evaluate the effectiveness of different engagement models. The results show that India has made significant progress in digital health adoption, leveraging mHealth and AI-based telemedicine platforms to improve health care delivery. However, the quality of VCO can decrease during storage due to the oxidation process characterized by an increase in the peroxide value. Storage temperature and packaging type are important aspects that affect the stability of the quality and shelf life of the product. This study aims to analyze the effect of temperature and storage time on changes in the peroxide value of VCO in insulated clear glass bottles, determine the appropriate reaction kinetic model, and predict the shelf life using the Accelerated Shelf-Life Testing (ASLT) method with the Arrhenius equation approach. The study was conducted by storing VCO samples at various temperatures of 28°C, 40°C, and 50°C for 42 days, with observation intervals every seven days. The parameter analyzed was the peroxide value using the titrimetric method. The results showed that an increase in storage temperature was directly proportional to the oxidation rate. This is evidenced by the reaction rate constant (k) which increases with increasing temperature, namely 0.000978 days⁻¹ (28°C), 0.002483 days⁻¹ (40°C), and 0.005119 days⁻¹ (50°C). Based on the peroxide value parameter, the predicted shelf life of VCO in an insulated clear glass bottle is 1,850.7 days at 28°C, 728.96 days at 40°C, and 353.57 days at 50°C. In conclusion, the use of insulated containers can provide protection, but storage temperature remains a critical factor. It is recommended that storage be carried out at low temperatures to maximize the product's shelf life.

Nurul Makka Mustafa, Andi Aladin, Takdir Syarif Copyright (c) 2026 Nurul Makka Mustafa, Andi Aladin, Takdir Syarif https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6038 Fri, 11 Sep 2026 00:00:00 +0000 A Framing Analysis of Food Poisoning Incidents in the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MGB): A Comparative Study of CNN Indonesia and Reuters https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6154
This study analyses differences in news framing by CNN Indonesia and Reuters regarding the food poisoning incident in the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG). These findings underscore the role of social media as a space mediating young people’s mental health experiences and the importance of message design that is empathetic, accurate, and accompanied by clear service referrals.
Rizka Ais Kurniawati; Yanuar Luqman Copyright (c) 2026 Rizka Ais Kurniawati; Yanuar Luqman https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6178 Sat, 12 Sep 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Perbandingan Kesiapan Regulasi Keamanan Siber Pada Penyelenggaraan Kendaraan Listrik di Indonesia https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6187
The lack of regulations regarding EVs in Indonesia has prompted the government to consider implementing appropriate regulatory frameworks to encourage the use of EVs in Indonesia, specifically about cybersecurity of EVs. The lack of regulation about cybersecurity can pose significant threats to both drivers and passengers, expose sensitive information, and leading to potentially devastating consequences. The aim of this research is to create regulations that can support and maximize the positive potential of EVs while minimize the negative impacts that can occur with the existence of EVs. The research method in this writing is normative juridical methodology, utilizing 2 (two) approaches, namely the statutory and conceptual approaches to identify and analyze relevant legal frameworks. The results show that regulations regarding EVs are still lacking compared to other states, especially regarding EVs cybersecurity. The government must be able to emulate other countries in regulating the regulation of cybersecurity in Indonesia. Where there are already several countries that have suffered losses from cybercrime and already regulated cybersecurity on EVs. To deal with the potential of EV software and cybersecurity threats, the government can carry out repressive efforts, because repressive efforts have a greater impact in reducing the number of accidents that occur. Efforts that the government can make are by providing SOPs for EV business actors and improving cybersecurity for EV business actors.
Najmi Ariansyah Ijlal Gusti, Benedict Matthew Copyright (c) 2026 Najmi Ariansyah Ijlal Gusti, Benedict Matthew https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6187 Sat, 12 Sep 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Analisis Kebutuhan Pengembangan E-Modul Flipbook Berbasis Problem Based Learning untuk Penguatan Civic Reasoning Siswa SD https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6804
Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in the Independent Curriculum is expected to develop students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and civic reasoning skills. However, the results of the 2022 PISA (Philosophy of Science and Social Sciences) test show that Indonesian students' scientific literacy is still below the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development average. Furthermore, IPAS learning in elementary schools is still dominated by lecture-based, teacher-centered, and textbook-dependent methods, thus not optimally developing students' analytical and decision-making skills regarding environmental issues. This study aims to analyze the urgency of developing a flipbook e-module based on Problem-Based Learning as an alternative innovative teaching material to strengthen students' civic reasoning skills in the topic of the Impact of Human Activities on the Environment. The method used is the ADDIE model in the first stage, namely Analysis. Data analysis was obtained from questionnaires, interviews, and learning observations. The findings indicate that the flipbook e-module has many advantages according to the needs of students and teachers. Meanwhile, the PBL model can facilitate students in identifying problems, analyzing information, and making decisions based on evidence. Previous research also shows that the development of PBL-based flipbook e-modules at the elementary school level still focuses on improving learning outcomes, while civic reasoning skills have received little attention. Therefore, the development of PBL-based flipbook e-modules oriented toward civic reasoning is a potential innovation to support more contextual, interactive, and meaningful science learning.
Restu Yuniastuti, Sarwanto, Deni Zein Tarsidi Copyright (c) 2026 Restu Yuniastuti, Sarwanto, Deni Zein Tarsidi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/jige/article/view/6804 Sat, 12 Sep 2026 00:00:00 +0000
