Local communities still do not understand the added value of mangroves as raw materials for food products. Community service activities were carried out in the form of training on processing mangrove fruit into food and beverage products with economic value. The implementation method included a learning-by-doing approach, interactive discussions, and direct practice consisting of three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This activity upholds the principle of CAPACITY (Involvement, Accessibility, Participation, Nodes, Innovation, Follow-up, and Direct Application) to ensure active community involvement. The training resulted in various processed products, such as dodol (sweet candy), syrup, wrakas leaf chips, and sponge cakes made from mangrove fruit, which have been simply packaged ready for marketing. The implementation results showed a 100% participant participation rate, with high enthusiasm during both theory and practice sessions. Participants actively asked questions, discussed, and were directly involved in the entire processing process. Positive feedback was also obtained, indicating a good acceptance of this innovation. This training has successfully increased the community's capacity to utilize local resources sustainably and opened up opportunities for developing ecotourism and mangrove-based creative economic businesses.
Mutiara Salsabiela Asep Andri Astriyandi Ira Puspita Windiari Shaicfah Bachaer Nebu Nasukha Randi Wijaya Copyright (c) 2025 Mutiara Salsabiela, Asep Andri Astriyandi, Ira Puspita Windiari, Shaicfah Bachaer Nebu Nasukha, Randi Wijaya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-15 2025-10-15 4 4 520 528 10.55681/devote.v4i4.4680 PENGENALAN AI DAN LITERASI DIGITAL UNTUK SISWA SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 32 GUNUNGSITOLI https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/devote/article/view/4308
This Community Service Program was conducted at SMP Swasta Muhammadiyah 32 Gunungsitoli with the aim of enhancing students' understanding of digital literacy and introducing artificial intelligence (AI) in daily life. As a natural resource commodity, seaweed has high economic value and great potential to be developed into various value-added processed products. However, in Balaweling 1 Village, West Solor District, cultivated Eucheuma cottonii seaweed is still sold as raw material at low prices. This condition indicates that local potential has not been optimally utilized to improve community welfare. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of the community, especially the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) women's group, in processing seaweed into high-value snack sticks. The activity method uses a hands-on approach (learning by doing) that includes material preparation, seaweed stick processing, modern packaging using standing pouches, and digital marketing training through social media. The results of the activity showed an increase in the skills and creativity of participants in processing seaweed into attractive and durable processed products. The resulting seaweed stick products have a crunchy texture, savory taste, and modern packaging, thus having the potential to be marketed more widely. The conclusion of this activity was that seaweed processing training can increase economic independence and empower coastal women. Consequently, similar activities can serve as a model for sustainable, locally-based empowerment and encourage the formation of small community businesses based on local marine resources.
Yosephina Margaretha J. However, some communities do not yet understand the importance of this ecosystem, resulting in various destructive practices, such as logging for firewood, land conversion to fishponds or salt fields, and dumping of garbage and waste into mangrove areas. If this situation continues, it will have serious impacts, one of which is coastal abrasion, which threatens the lives of coastal communities. To address this issue, this community service activity was conducted with the aim of educating and raising public awareness about the importance of mangrove conservation as an effort to prevent abrasion in coastal areas. The implementation method included interactive lectures, group discussions, and concrete actions such as planting mangroves in coastal areas. This activity involved the active participation of the local community, particularly children and adolescents from the Palo Porong Community Community Center (TBM Palo Porong), as agents of change in environmental conservation. The results of the activity showed an increase in public understanding and awareness of the function and benefits of the mangrove ecosystem. The community began to show behavioral changes that were more concerned with the environment, such as no longer cutting mangroves indiscriminately and participating in mangrove planting and maintenance activities. Furthermore, this activity fosters a spirit of mutual cooperation and social responsibility in preserving coastal natural resources. Therefore, it can be concluded that mangrove conservation education through a participatory approach can increase community ecological awareness and encourage sustainable, environmentally friendly behavior.
Donata Peni Copyright (c) 2025 Donata Peni https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-31 2025-10-31 4 4 546 554 10.55681/devote.v4i4.4797 INOVASI PRODUK OLAHAN PERIKANAN TINGGI PROTEIN SEBAGAI CAMILAN SEHAT DAN BERNILAI EKONOMI TINGGI https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/devote/article/view/4773
Snacks are a type of food consumed outside of main meals and play a role in helping meet daily calorie needs. However, most snacks on the market today contain monosodium glutamate (MSG), calories, fat, and other additives that are potentially harmful to health. Therefore, innovation is needed in creating snacks that are not only delicious but also highly nutritious. One effort that can be done is by adding animal protein sources, such as skipjack tuna, which is known for its high protein content and good nutritional value. This activity aims to improve the skills of the community, especially micro-business owners, in processing skipjack tuna into economically valuable snack products. The method used in this activity is direct practice or demonstration of making various processed skipjack tuna products. The training process begins with preparing the main ingredient, namely skipjack tuna meat, then continues with mixing complementary ingredients, processing, and packaging the final product. The results of the activity showed that the resulting snack products, such as fish floss, fish sticks, and fish crackers, are of satisfactory quality. Training participants assessed the process as easy to make, the ingredients are economical, and the products can be stored for a long time. Furthermore, these processed products have good sales potential, making them a source of additional income for families. In conclusion, the training on producing skipjack tuna snacks not only improves the community's skills in processing local food ingredients but also contributes to the development of micro-enterprises and the diversification of highly nutritious food products within the community.
Maria Magdalena N.M Tukan Maria Hermina Peransa Betan Copyright (c) 2025 Maria Magdalena N.M Tukan, Maria Hermina Peransa Betan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-31 2025-10-31 4 4 555 563 10.55681/devote.v4i4.4773 EDUKASI MANAJEMEN DAN PENCEGAHAN BULLYING DI SDN KAUM PANDAK 04 KARADENAN CIBINONG KABUPATEN BOGOR https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/devote/article/view/4365
This Community Service Program aims to strengthen the roles of teachers and parents in preventing and handling bullying among elementary school children. The virus is environmentally resilient and can survive in blood, meat, and pig housing, often leading to mass mortality. Infection with virulent strains results in acute to peracute ASF, characterized by high fever, internal and external hemorrhages, and sudden death, with mortality rates exceeding 90% within three to ten days. The Modung Mior Farmers Group in Watuwelut Hamlet, Ribang Village, Koting District, Sikka Regency, consisting of ten members and raising six pigs in 2024, experienced sudden and simultaneous livestock deaths due to ASF. A limited understanding of Closed House (CH) systems and biosecurity practices reduced the group’s performance, lowering motivation to raise pigs during the 2019–March 2025 ASF outbreak and decreasing household income. The Primary Community Empowerment Program (PMP) aims to enhance the group’s competence and motivation through human resource management training and the construction of CH pig housing with strict biosecurity measures. The methods applied include socialization, training, technology implementation, and mentoring. Initial observations revealed the absence of standard operating procedures, weak production records, and limited digital identity, resulting in minimal added value for both food security and tourism. This program aimed to strengthen P2L’s management capacity, integrate it into educational agro-tourism, and establish digital branding through official platforms. The implementation method was comprehensive, consisting of situational analysis, technology development, capacity-building training, intensive mentoring, and evaluation. Key innovations included the introduction of the Telang Dry infrared-based flower dryer, which improved product quality and efficiency, and the creation of an interactive marketplace website to support digital marketing and storytelling of local products. Training activities covered SOP-based management, production documentation, organizational structuring, digital marketing, and tourism integration, delivered through participatory workshops involving community members, youth, and local tourism actors. The program outcomes demonstrated significant improvements: P2L management is now documented with SOPs and organizational structures, agro-tourism packages have been developed, and digital branding has been established through an official website and active social media. These transformations distinguish the post-program condition from the previous state, contributing to enhanced food security, local economic growth, and the visibility of Adiluhur Tourism Village as a sustainable educational destination. This situation has a direct impact on the low competitiveness and unstable income of salt farmers. This programme aims to empower the salt farming community in Pamekasan District, Madura, through the implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Crystalliser designed to monitor environmental parameters in real time, so that the crystallisation process can be controlled more efficiently and adaptively. The method used is community-based participatory research (CBPR), which emphasises active community involvement from the planning, testing, training, to evaluation stages. Implementation testing was carried out at the Pamekasan community salt ponds, while academic validation was conducted through the 2025 Science, Technology and Industry Convention (KSTI) at the Bandung Institute of Technology. Data was collected through participatory observation, interviews, questionnaires, and technical prototype testing. Analysis was conducted quantitatively using the paired sample t-test and qualitatively using the Miles & Huberman model. The results of the activity showed an increase in salt productivity of ±20%, an acceleration in crystallisation time of up to 25%, and an improvement in salt quality with an NaCl content of ≥97%. Community participation was quite high, with more than 70% of farmers able to operate the monitoring application independently. This programme has had a tangible impact in the form of a 15–20% increase in farmers' income while strengthening the community's independence in managing salt ponds. Thus, the application of the IoT-based Smart Crystallizer has proven to be effective as an appropriate technological innovation that meets the needs of traditional salt farmers. Most of the equipment and technology available today is still manual and unable to optimally meet production needs. One such MSME is Briket ‘Batu Bara’, located in Babadan Hamlet, Ngebrak Village, Gampengrejo Sub-district, Kediri Regency. With the available TTG briquette moulding machines and drying ovens, it is hoped that the production process can be accelerated and production output increased. Previously, manual production involved two stages, with the printing process followed by oven drying, taking 120 minutes per kilogram and yielding 40 kilograms of product per day. Now, the process takes 10 minutes less per kilogram, while product yield has increased to 40 kilograms per day. The predicted average profit increase is approximately 39.21%, while the average increase in rupiah is 1.034 million rupiah. This is due to the growing number of players in the industry, which has negatively impacted sales turnover, falling short of the targets. One way to address this issue is through optimal product marketing. Based on preliminary interviews with Mrs. Retno Ika Suryaningsih, the head of the “Amerta Jaya” Food Processing IKM Center—which consists of 31 members in Sading Village—it was confirmed that there has been a decline in sales turnover, and although some marketing strategies have been implemented, they have not been fully effective. The current marketing efforts—ranging from product presentation, pricing, promotion, to distribution—have yet to reach optimal levels, particularly in terms of expanding to supermarkets or mini markets in Badung and Denpasar. This shortcoming stems from limited marketing capabilities.

Furthermore, follow-up interviews revealed that, in addition to limited marketing skills, the “Amerta Jaya” food processing IKM also struggles with financial management. Grounded in Motivation Action Theory (Heckhausen & Heckhausen, 2018), communication is understood as a goal-directed motivated action situated in social contexts. The research employs a qualitative content analysis design, examining open-access digital materials such as public podcasts, YouTube channels of disability organizations, online news portals, and inclusive digital campaigns that represent the communicative practices of visually impaired individuals. The analysis focuses on identifying motivational patterns, communicative strategies, and the meanings embedded in textual, audio, and visual content. The findings reveal four primary motivational drives behind their communicative actions: (1) strengthening public awareness, (2) demonstrating personal competence, (3) building community solidarity, and (4) expanding social and economic independence. Digital communication serves as a strategic medium for asserting identity, challenging stigma, and reinforcing social autonomy. Theoretically, this research extends the application of Motivation Action Theory within disability communication studies. This community service program focused on empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at Pujasera JS09 in Jakarta to manage organic waste through composting. The program identified that the canteen produced an average of 150–200 kg of food waste daily, of which 10–30 kg consisted of vegetable residues, fruit peels, and other organic materials suitable for composting. Using a roller composter, the decomposition process successfully transformed waste into mature planting media within approximately 16 days. Compost maturity was confirmed through pH stabilization at 7, neutral odor, and positive immersion tests. Furthermore, carbon footprint analysis using the EPA WARM model revealed that diverting 20 kg/day of organic waste from landfills to composting reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 3.06 tons CO₂e annually, equivalent to an 8% reduction. These results highlight that composting not only improves local hygiene and reduces methane emissions but also supports sustainable waste management practices and climate change mitigation. The program demonstrates a practical and replicable approach for MSMEs to contribute to circular economy implementation and environmental sustainability.
Teuku Muhammad Rasyif Asiah Nurul Adriati Fatin Syalwa Linda Hilmayani Faiz Aly Andyni Clarissa Hartono Copyright (c) 2025 Teuku Muhammad Rasyif, Asiah Nurul, Adriati Fatin, Syalwa Linda Hilmayani, Faiz Aly, Andyni Clarissa Hartono https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-12-30 2025-12-30 4 4 1059 1068 10.55681/devote.v4i4.5151 INTEGRASI TRELLO SEBAGAI FORUM DISKUSI DIGITAL UNTUK PENGEMBANGAN PROFESIONALISME GURU PJOK MELALUI LESSON STUDY DAN PROJECT-BASED LEARNING https://ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id/index.php/devote/article/view/4933
Digital transformation in education requires teachers to effectively utilize technology as a medium for collaboration and professional development. This community service program aims to enhance the competencies of elementary school Physical Education (PE) teachers in implementing the Lesson Study and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approaches through the integration of Trello as a digital discussion forum. The program was conducted through several stages: socialization, training, mentoring, technology implementation, evaluation, and program sustainability, involving 36 participants from the Elementary School PE Teachers Working Group (KKG PJOK) in Banjarbaru. Trello was implemented to facilitate lesson planning, peer observation, reflection, and collaborative task management. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests, post-tests, and observations of collaborative learning activities. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of the Lesson Study stages and the implementation of PjBL, with more than 90% of participants able to identify the Lesson Study phases, relevant Trello features, and product-based PjBL assessments. These findings indicate that the use of Trello can enhance digital literacy, collaborative skills, and teachers’ readiness to apply innovative learning practices. The program is recommended to be continued and further developed as a sustainable professional development model for PE teachers in the digital era.
Muhammad Habibie Ramadhan Arifin Budi Setiadi Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Habibie, Ramadhan Arifin, Budi Setiadi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-12-31 2025-12-31 4 4 1069 1078 10.55681/devote.v4i4.4933
