Inclusive education for children with special needs (CSN) in Indonesia remains hindered by limited professional resources, inadequate inclusive infrastructure, and low public acceptance. This community-development based activities aim to address these barriers by implementing a structured therapeutic communication training program to the key stakeholders of Lentera Cita Karya Foundation, an inclusive school in Jakarta. The program targeted teachers, in-house therapists, and parents, through focus group discussions (FGD) designed to explore communication challenges and collaboratively build effective strategies. Over two months, trainings were delivered to 15 CSN, 4 therapists, 4 parents, and 4 teachers. In addition to communication training for adults, children participated in basic public speaking and photography sessions to strengthen their cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills. The program concluded with a public seminar titled “ACT” (Acceptance, Caring, and Tolerance) attended by approximately 80 people, featuring expert speakers and community engagement sessions to promote inclusive dialogue. The seminar also showcased photos taken by the CSN during the training. Results from the intervention highlight that acceptance emerged as the most significant factor influencing CSN development. The findings underscore the importance of integrative, community-based therapeutic communication in supporting inclusive educational environments.
Surianto SuriantoZera Edenzwo SubandiYesica Yuliani Clara

The high rate of criminality among students and the community in the Magelang area encourages the need for a preventive approach in building legal awareness. The Bambang Solah Program (Balai Pemasyarakatan Sambang Desa lan Sekolah) implemented by the Class II Correctional Center of Magelang is a public service innovation aimed at fostering legal awareness through outreach in schools and the community. This study aims to assess the service quality of the Bambang Solah program as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The study uses a qualitative method with semi-structured interview techniques, observation, and documentation, and is analyzed using the SERVQUAL approach. The results of the study show that the Bambang Solah service is considered good in the aspects of reliability (repetitive and contextual material delivery), responsiveness (method adaptation to participant characteristics), assurance (competence and credibility of the facilitators), and empathy (emotional closeness with participants). However, there are still obstacles such as limited operational budget. Supporting factors include a communicative approach and structural support from the Correctional Center. The conclusion of this study affirms that Bambang Solah is a strategic program in building participatory and educational legal awareness.
Firnas AdaniCahyoko Edi Tando

Increasingly complex environmental issues require the active involvement of the younger generation, particularly students, in building awareness and responsibility for ecological sustainability. This community service activity aims to instill and strengthen environmental values among students of the Faculty of Economics through an educational-participatory approach. The implementation method consists of three stages: preparation (coordination and understanding mapping), implementation (seminars and interactive discussions), and evaluation (pre-test and post-test). The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' knowledge, attitudes, and action plans regarding environmental issues. Students not only understood the importance of environmental character but also began to show initiative in getting involved in environmental movements on and off campus. This activity proves that environmental-based character education can be an effective strategy in developing empowered and ecologically aware agents of change among economics students.
Meiman WaruwuSeberman LawoloYolan Ardian ZebuaJuni Mustahil GeaDavid Ronaldo ZaiOpi Rahmat Damai HuluWiranti Amazihono

Kalitengah Village, located in Tengah Tani District, Cirebon, holds an important yet underrecognized role in the history of Cirebon batik, with many renowned batik brands originating from this village. Despite having 119 batik SMEs, only 50 remain active today. To revive its legacy, the village government has initiated digital marketing-based training programs for batik entrepreneurs. Kalitengah is rich in batik heritage, notably the iconic Paksinagaliman motif, a symbol of multiethnic harmony: Paksi (Arab), Naga (Chinese), and Liman (Indian). This cultural blend adds uniqueness and high value to Kalitengah’s batik. The community service program employs a Community-Based Research approach, engaging locals throughout the process, focusing on technical training, continuous mentoring, and strengthening digital marketing. The aim is to improve the welfare of local batik artisans and entrepreneurs by transforming traditional mindsets into modern digital strategies. Skills taught include (a) using social media for brand awareness, (b) optimizing websites with SEO, (c) leveraging marketplaces for sales, (d) applying competitive pricing strategies, and (e) implementing influencer marketing. Several brands such as Batik Aqila, Batik Ajeng, and Batik Wike have begun adopting these digital strategies.
